How Does a Proportional Pressure Regulator Work?

Proportional Pressure Regulator 

The proportional pressure regulator is usually referred to as I/P or E/P convertors. They are responsible for conversion of a variable amount of current or voltage signal into a proportional compressed precise air output. A proportional pressure regulator offers different functions such as open and closed-loop control, fail freeze, etc.

Output pressure, proportional to an electrical command signal, always remains unaffected by variations in supply pressure. In such regulators, there are inlet solenoid valve shifts proportional to flow and upholds system presence. 

The variable orifice has some effect on controlling pressure at low-flow conditions and also evades the digital steps of customary on/off solenoids. The Sequence is available in an extensive range of electrical command inputs and analog outputs.

Role of Solenoid valves

A proportional pressure control valve is a complete closed-loop servo system which consists of two solenoid valves. The one valve of this proportional regulator is an internal pressure transducer, and the other one is recognized as electronic controls.

Proportional pressure regulator Based on an analog signal and the pressure is controlled by two solenoid valves to preserve precise pressure. One valve of the proportional regulator functions as inlet control and the other one works as exhaust.

This proportional regulator measures pressure output by an internal or an external feedback pressure transducer that also delivers a feedback signal to the electronic controls. Almost all the proportional regulators have CE, SGS, RoHS certification with ISO13485 quality system. They are commonly being used in Laser cutting, PET bottle molding machines, multi-stage pressure control, etc.
